Exploring potential collaboration between companies in Irvine with the growing industry hub of Gumi, a city located in the province of Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea, a cross-section of Gumi city representatives, business leaders, and community leaders attended a lunch and learn at the Cove.
Gumi industry representatives sought out Applied Innovation for the meeting to connect with medical device startups in the Irvine ecosystem seeking manufacturing partners that would help support the cost of getting an initial product to market. Staff from Applied Innovation, startups such as Velox Biosystems, Capillary Biomedical, Red Lion Robotics, and industry partner Executive Next Practices Institute were in attendance to present their organizations and engage in dialogue with the visiting group.
